In general, there are many initiatives that aim to support media in their business development. Around the world, many ‘accelerator’ programmes and ‘media (innovation) labs’ have sprung up. These initiatives generally draw from the innovation and (lean) design perspective to support media outlets. Often, they combine mentoring/coaching with seed funding to support start-ups or innovative ideas. Here, we list the initiatives we are aware of:
