Fighting for Survival: Media Startups in the Global South

This study is based on interviews with 19 media organisations in the Global South, assessing how well they are doing to sustain themselves financially.  It finds that in general these media are not improving in their financial sustainability. Rather, they remain dependent on donor funding.
