This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data provided by you when you subscribe to our newsletter. Free Press Unlimited shall only use these data for the purpose of sharing the K&Q newsletter.
Retention period
When you fill out the subscription form on our website, we shall keep and process the personal data you share with us for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. The K&Q newsletter contains a clear link with which you can unsubscribe.
Contact information management
We use the open source software CiviCRM to manage our contact data. This software is run under our own management on our own servers.
Special personal data
Free Press Unlimited does not collect data pertaining to political views, race, religious views, health, criminal information or other matters.
Security
We manage the maintenance, management and the security of software for the mailing lists ourselves. Unless otherwise explicitly indicated, Free Press Unlimited is the Data Controller for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement. Free Press Unlimited has taken physical, technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. We use a secure server that is accessible only to authorised persons. This should prevent personal data being accessed or modified by persons not authorised to do so. Our website uses a reliable SSL Certificate to guarantee that your personal data do not fall into the wrong hands. We take every measure that can be reasonably expected to arrange security in the best way possible.

Partner organisations
If you belong to a partner organisation of Free Press Unlimited, we will email you the quarterly K&Q newsletter with the option to unsubscribe. As soon as you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive the letter.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) your rights include the right to access the data we have collected on you and in certain cases to modify them or have them removed. To exercise your rights, you can send a request via email to kq@freepressunlimited.org.
More information about your rights under the GDPR can also be found on the website Explaining your rights of the (Dutch) supervisor, the Data Protection Authority. You may also file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority about how we use your personal data, if you feel this is necessary.
