Discussion of a study which demonstrates that women are not able to exercise the Right of Access to Information ‘with the same frequency, ease and rate of success as men. The article examines the issue of gender inequity in the exercise of the right of access to information. According to the author ‘[t]his article seeks to explore the legislative framework underpinning the right of access to information for women, detail the value of information for women, describe the principal obstacles that propagate gender inequities, and explore potential responses to advance a more universal right to information.’
