Speak Up Zambia! Interim Evaluation

The Speak Up Zambia! programme was evaluated looking at the three expected results of

a) increased capacity to monitor public resources,

b) increased ability to act as a watchdog, and

c) media output that amplifies female voices.

This concluded that individuals are empowered to speak up, participants become active rather than passive citizens, the citizen journalists feel legitimized and professional, and lastly that individual agency regardless of gender or cultural barriers (being marginalized) is improved.
