This report presents the initial findings from the first large-scale global survey of journalists since the COVID-19 crisis began. The survey was conducted by the Journalism and the Pandemic project – a collaborative research initiative from the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University. 1,406 respondents filled out the survey. The results can be, inter alia, grouped into the following categories: journalism safety threats, dis/misinformation pandemic, press freedom violations and financial (un)viability.
