This article explains in steps how a large digital outlet in Canada was able to increase the number subscribers from 2,000 to 10,000 in one month. Central to the article is the user experience of the registration process involved to become a free-trial subscriber. By analysing the process a user has to go through, and testing alternatives, the medium was able to improve the subscription process significantly. Among the improvements is the reduction of steps to register and get back to the article the audience member actually wanted to read (which is the reason users subscribe in the first place) from 11 to 6 steps.
