An impact story about how BNNRC (FPU’s partner), an umbrella network organisation of community radio stations in Bangladesh, promoted the prevention of child marriages – specifically the case of one girl – and how one community radio stopped a total of 55 child marriages in 2016. The community radios alerted police officials by means of the radio, and even received an award recognizing their work from the local administration. The radio station reporters and BNNRC staff receive training in order to do this better.
