The audience research contained both a quantitative and a qualitative element. The main findings: in Syria, television is the dominant media type, followed by online media. Media aligned with the Syrian government are leading in government-controlled areas and opposition-aligned media in opposition areas. Pro-government and opposition audiences are divided in their following of media. Syrian audiences are confident that they are well-informed about general geopolitical situations, but express less confidence that they are receiving adequate information regarding local affairs.
