In the Girl Power Alliance (an MFS-II alliance in The Netherlands), a media partnership review was done amongst the various organisations focusing on children with the main lessons learned that: 1) media partners are critical to bring about change in civil society, 2) roles need to be clearly defined for a successful partnership, 3) diversity between media and civil society needs to acknowledged and embraced, 4) sharing between partners needs to be explicitly integrated into a partnership, 5) and collective action is more powerful – civil society and media must partner to bring about change.
