Evaluation Gender Media Monitoring Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo

A Most Significant Change evaluation of a gender media monitoring project supported by Free Press Unlimited in the Democratic Republic of Congo, stating that in some Kinshasa-based media houses, journalists and media managers try to address participation of women in terms of human resources as well as in content. The conclusion was: to increase participation (and awareness) through gender media monitoring, there must be more sensitisation of the media monitoring report and the importance of gender equality (in content and in terms of human resources) in media houses. For example, by stimulating exemplary practice and women leadership.
